FLASH NEWS: The A.T.O.M is Coming to Town...And A New Villain?!?

That's right folks! Producer Andrew Kreisberg has said the following on the matter:

"In episode four of ‘Flash’ when Felicity came by, it wasn’t just a gag… It really was integrated into the story. When you reach what’s going on in ‘The Flash’ at that point in the season, Barry is really at a crossroads. Having Felicity come by exactly when he needs her really plays into the whole
storyline. It’s fine because… Ray Palmer is all about technology and STAR Labs is all about technology. We get to see Ray so happy to be in STAR Labs… With Cisco [Carlos Valdes] and Ray, they’re new best friends. The STAR Labs team is going to help Ray further his ATOM project."

This was confirmed to be in the 18th episode of the show, we then heard the following from him about the same episode:

"Episode 18 will unleash on Central City a bee-a-utiful tech wizard who rocks oversized shades and red lipstick… and has devised a clever-slash-amoral-slash-wildly unstable scheme to weaponize bee-sized ‘bots."

Who do you think it could be? I for one think it could be the Atom villain known as the "Bug-Eyed Bandit", but seeing as the character is quite unknown, they may have taken the liberty to change the character's gender to female, that would explain the red lipstick.

Bertram Larvan was an inventor who designed a mechanical insect to control insect pests. Unfortunately, he had no financial backing to support his invention. He resolved to steal money he needed for his invention. He later used his invention to steal more. Soon, he had an army of mechanical insects and took the name of the Bug-Eyed Bandit. In his earliest known adventure, he encountered the Atom and discovered his secret identity of Ray Palmer. The Atom fought the Bandit and Bertram tried to use a special amnesiac gas from one of his robot insects against him. However, he accidentally used it on himself, forgetting the Atom's real identity. Larvan was sent to prison. As he had no memory of being a criminal, he turned out to be a model prisoner. However, Bertram was struck in head during an accident at the prison and regained his memories. He broke out of jail and set upon avenging himself against the Atom. He sent one of his robot bugs out to kill him, and he believed that he had succeeded. The Atom survived however and the two came to blows once again. He managed to capture him and tried to learn the secrets of Ray Palmer's size control powers. The Bandit accidentally released the Atom from captivity however, and Palmer was able to defeat him. An electrical short caused the Bug-Eyed Bandit to lose his memories once again. To learn more click here.
